Which class to pick in Lost Ark?

I want to say right away - Lost Ark a solid MMORPG game with a ton of activities like dungeons, hardcore raids which require perfect skill and communication from each party member, also there you will find a lot of activities for casual players like exploring - it's a huge part of the game, charming storyline which will give you a lot of emotions and drama, and juicy loot.
Even hardcore PVP players will find in Lost Ark something new because it's a furious mix of MMO genres MOBA games with Arena from World of Warcraft with a rating system and many other things.
The Lost Ark developers did not forget about farming. Lost Ark will give you the opportunity to endless hours of grinding your equipment for god-rolls, leveling your professions, obtaining luxurious vanity items like battle pets, fashion wear, and even interior for your own house!

At the start, you should choose your class wisely. Lost Ark has 5 starter classes: Warrior, Martial Artist, Gunner, Mage, Assasin.
Every class has a specialization. Let's have a look at them and see what they can do.

Warrior can be a Berserker - mighty warrior with 2-handed sword and huge AOE and Critical damage. Good choice if you wish to be close to your enemy all the time; Paladin - semi-support class with some offensive abilities and defensive/healing/buff abilities for his party. So it is a good choice if you want to be useful, but still want to play aggressively in the front line; Gunlancer - is a tank with huge defensive skills. You will be always welcome in the dungeon, raid, and even in PVP parties. This class is clumsy, but it compensates with huge defensive stats and a ton of crowd control.

Martial Artist can be a Striker - it's a melee class with Physic and Air Elemental Damage and it requires high mechanic skill for being a master. This class can do a lot of quick attacks and great combos which will do not give any chance for your enemies in PVE or PVP; Wardancer - is not very fast, but with huge AOE potential and a ton of Crowd Control. This class mix Physic Damage and Lightning Elemental Damage. Great choice if you wish to slap asses of your enemies and still be chilling. But still easy to start - hard to master; Scrapper - fast and furious. Just these two words. This class is a combination of high-speed gameplay, combo mechanics, and resource management. Hard to learn, but if you want to play on the class with high mobility and deadly strikes - it is a great choice; Soulfist - it's a mix of melee and ranged mage damaged. This class is easier than Scrapper, but still has high mobility and very strong boost damage with her melee-range combos.

Gunner can be a Gunslinger - it's a short-range DPS class with a lot of AOE damage. You will have a pair of revolvers and a shotgun in your arsenal. Well if you like cowboys and wild-west - it's the best choice for you; Artillerist - it's a mid-range DPS class. As you understand his main specialization is AOE damage. And it's really madness when he starts making fire. He is not very mobile, but who cares when he can place his own fire turrel and destroy his enemies with two barrels; Deadeye - the most mobile ranged DPS in the game. In his arsenal, there are 3 types of weapons, which can be switched easily in battles. It contains two handguns, a shotgun, and a rifle. Very flexible and fun-to-play class; Sharpshooter - it's long-range DPS class with a bow. He can use different arrows, so he will pain for all enemies on his way. Also, he has a stealth drone that will make your enemies weaker for his attacks. Great choice if you like rangers or hunter classes in other MMO games.

Mage can be a Bard - it's a support class. She can heal and buff her allies, and debuff her enemies. However, she can do decent damage. If you want to choose this class - you will be a major part of every PVE, PVP, and PVP arena party. Sorceress - it's a classical mage from fantasy games. She uses elemental damage to destroy her enemies in huge AOE damage. A great choice for solo players, but she has problems with mobility, so PVP battles can be tough. Easy for beginners, but has a big potential for being a master.

Assasin can be a Shadowhunter - it's a melee DPS class. She has dual blades in her cruel hands. And she can shapeshift into demon form which will increase her Health regen and provide powerful abilities for annihilating all her enemies. Deathblade - she has 2 daggers and 1 long sword in her arsenal. She can do amazing damage in solo target especially from the back, but also she still has decent AOE damage with her longsword.

As you can see, Lost Ark provides 5 classes with many different specializations. Each of them has different gameplay. Some of them are a bit harder, some a bit easier. But all of them are viable and you can choose any class for comfort and the most important enjoyable gameplay.
But you still need to make a choice wise which one would contribute the most to your team.
If you never played MOBA-like games, we would recommend to you keep an eye on Berserker, Wardancer, Artillerist, and Bard with Sorceress, Shadowhunter will be a good choice too. These classes are really good for starting as solo players and they are still good for most of the PVE and PVP activities in the game. And the most important thing - they are really strong at the start. So you will enjoy the beautiful Lost Ark story and amazing dungeons painless.

You will be impressed because it's a Korean MMORPG, but leveling aspect will still be a level cap just with quests. So you should not grind like in other MMO games.
