Character Stats
In New World, you can level 5 stats. Every stat has thresholds that will give you special combat and non-combat buffs every 50 points.
You will obtain these points by gaining levels and equip your gear. By leveling you can obtain a maximum of 190 points, the others will be from the items.
Below level 20 you can respec it for free, so do not be afraid to try what you want. Under level 20 it will cost you not too much.

Strength
- increase damage from melee weapons, but some weapons can use dexterity as a secondary stat.
-50: +5% damage to physical melee light attacks. +10% mining speed
-100: +5% damage to physical melee heavy attacks. +20 encumbrance
-150: +50% stamina damage from physical melee attacks. -10% decrease in weight of mined items
-200: +10% damage on stunned, rooted, or slowed enemies. +10% mining speed
-250: stamina regeneration continues while you performing melee attacks. +10% yield increase while mining
-300: light and heavy attacks gain Grit. 25%chance to fully mine and ore node with a one swing

Dexterity - increase damage for ranged weapons and it's a secondary stat for some melee weapons
-50: +5% critical chance hit. +10 skinning speed
-100: +5% thrust damage. +20% haste for 3 sec after skinning
-150: -10 dodge cost for dodge. -10% weight for skinned items
-200: +10% backstab and headshot damage. +10% skinning speed
-250: +10% additional critical damage for sunned, rooted, or slowed enemies. +10% yield increase while skinning
-300: +15% to return an ammo. 100% critical chance for hit after a dodge roll

Intelligence - increase damage for fire staff and secondary stat for some other weapons
-50: +10% damage on attacks. +10% harvesting speed
-100: +10% critical hit damage. 5% to gain azoth when harvesting
-150: 15% increase elemental damage. -10% weight for harvesting items
-200: +10 mana after a dodge. +10% harvest speed
-250: +30% DoT (damage over time) duration. +10% yield increase while harvesting
-300: +10% damage for full hp enemy. -10% cost for fast traveling

Focus - increase damage and healing done for healing staff
-50: +10% mana regeneration. +10% fishing line tension
-100: +10 mana. +10% yield increase for salvaging.
-150: +20% healing output. -10% weight for fishing items
-200: +20% duration on casted buff spells. +10% fishing line tension
-250: +30 mana on solo or party kill. +10% to fish size
-300: increase mana regen by 200% when it hits 0. -10% cooldown for inn fast travel

Weapon Mastery
In New World, you can use any weapon. But at the same, you can equip only 2. You should take them with some synergy for a nice combo.
When you killing your enemies you gain Weapon Mastery experience. These levels will give you points, which you can spend on passive or active abilities. The maximum level of weapon is 20.
Every weapon has 2 skill trees. And you can 3 active abilities for each weapon.
If you are made a mistake in your build it is not a big problem - you can respec it for some azoth.

In New, World weapons have stat priorities.
If the weapon has 2 stats, scaling is 90% main stat and 65% secondary stat.
If the weapon has 1 stat it is 100% for stat

Fire Staff- Intelligence

Sometimes Weapon Mastery leveling could be a bit boring. And some weapons are really weak on low levels, but at high-level, the situation will change.
